Our Origins

From early document imaging technology in Waco, Texas to the formation of Imminent Technologies, Inc.

Waco, TexasWhere the company's software development history began in 1994.

The company's history began in Waco, Texas, with Azara Corporation in 1994.

Early development involved software professionals, including individuals with military backgrounds, who recognized the need for better ways to capture, organize, retrieve, and manage information.

The business later became Imminent Technologies, Inc. in February 1999, with important support from Parsons Office Systems.

Developing Imaging Made Simple

Over 25 Years of Supporting U.S. Army Logistics at Fort Hood

One of the most significant chapters in the history of Imminent Technologies began with the development of Imaging Made Simple (IMS) for U.S. Army logistics operations at Fort Hood, Texas.

Implemented during approximately 1996 to 1999, IMS helped address demanding document and information management requirements associated with military personnel, equipment, materials, and daily logistics operations.

The software provided practical capabilities for organizing, indexing, managing, and retrieving large volumes of scanned documents and electronic information. IMS supported Fort Hood logistics operations for more than 25 years, with the engagement concluding in 2025, reflecting the long-term value of a solution developed around real operational needs.

The Requirement

The U.S. Army's Directorate of Logistics at Fort Hood needed to improve its existing document imaging capabilities.

The earlier system primarily managed scanned TIFF documents. The organization sought broader capabilities, including barcode recognition, support for additional digital file types, improved database functionality, and integration with Microsoft Windows and familiar office applications.

The Solution

The development of Imaging Made Simple helped address these needs.

IMS evolved into a document and content management solution capable of organizing and retrieving scanned records and electronic documents through structured database indexing.

Broader Military History

A Broader Military Installation History

Beyond Fort Hood, historical military records associated with Imaging Made Simple also identify several other U.S. military installations.

These installations reflect the broader historical military footprint associated with Imaging Made Simple over its long history. Specific implementation dates, contract durations, and current relationships are not represented here.
